Greeeeeeeeeeeeeek Art

ERiN

When we were studying Greek art, my favorite project was Mythology. The first part I liked about it was the fact that we only had two days to find and research a god/goddess. I ended up writing the paper the night before, and finishing it in study hall. However, I actually learned a lot about Apollo. Secondly, the toga party was very fun. When we presented in front of the class, it was an easy way to learn because we put the stories into our own words. Also, we all enjoyed looking a bit ridiculous and we had fun together.

On a different note, Greek architecture was simple and sophisticated at the same time. Their columns on buildings were built generally the same way always. As a whole, this unit was interesting. I learned a lot more about mythology. And by the way, here's a picture of Apollo. http://www.artlex.com/ArtLex/a/images/apollo_rom.musaget.lg.jpg

ERiN - "rain"

While sitting on the desktop, staring blankly at the rain, I'm starting to see all the different elements of art. There are vertical and diagonal lines that seem to be never ending dotted lines. The clouds are powerful and a dark gray. The smell reminds me of when I would sit out on the front porch and watch an approaching thunderstorm. It's a calming, distinct smell.

ERiN "digital media"

This is the example of digital media that I found. The definition is basically any image that has been altered electronically. People often use programs such as Photoshop to do so. This picture makes me think of a rose. Pink reminds me of happiness and my childhood when I used to wear dresses all the time. Believe it of not, I really like dressing up.

I think art is whatever you want to make it. It has so many different forms that it does not matter at all how it is created. In every day life, we observe our surroundings. Some people choose to sit outside and draw what is in front of them. I'm one who imagines, daydreams, and fantasizes about many things. I love nature because it's so peaceful and makes me feel happy. I also love music, which is a form of art. I love, love, LOVE music actually. It's my life pretty much. There is so many types to listen to. I think it's safe to say I have music everywhere I go.
